Training on this, the main club night is overseen by the club coaches under the guidance of head coach (Ron Marsh). This is our main night for training, when we regularly have over 45 members turn up for training. Prospective New members are welcome to come, see what we can offer and run with us on this night.
We meet at 6.30 with notices by 6.45 and after a warm-up and stretching session, look to commence the nights training by 7.00. After the training session we always provide, hot drinks (tea/coffee) and a biscuit.
During the dark night months (September through till April) we offer indoor training at Hethersett Old Hall School, Norwich Road, Hethersett in the Sports Hall concentrating on strength and stamina training including warm-down running. This is a superb training opportunity for our members during those cold, dark nights to get some quality training under the guidance of our coaches. Training in the Sports Hall is for one hour from 6.30 till 7.30.
Once the evenings lighten up, we slip into our summer training mode and we provide training on a marked out grass track, again at Hethersett Old Hall School.
Throughout the year we also provide coached training on the All-Weather running track, at the Norwich Sportspark (map available soon) on a Thursday evening. To use the Sportspark facilities there is a charge payable, currently £3.50 per session, however this is subsequently subsidised for club members (speak to a committee member for more information).
